FAMUN stands for FACAMP Model United Nations and it was created in 2013 in order to provide Brazilian students a groundbreaking academic experience. By performing the roles of Heads of State and Government, Ministers and Diplomats, students discuss issues of great international relevance. It is an opportunity for youth to exchange ideas and create solutions to global problems.

This year, we will offer a unique experience to students: FAMUN 2020 in an online setting.

More than ever, the central role played by international cooperation in order to tackle common problems, such as the pandemic, is clear to all of us. The United Nations responded to the challenge by adapting its procedures and holding online meetings: and if the UN went online, FAMUN 2020 is also doing so!

From 5-7 September 2020, High School and University students from different Brazilian and International cities will take part in the online simulation of different United Nations organs. They will also have the opportunity to be briefed by UN staff and specialists from all over the world, and engage in different campaigns in order to put the UN agenda into practice.

Registration will open 01 July 2020, so stay tuned for updates!

FAMUN Partnerships

In FAMUN online, participants are closer to the real United Nations, its entities and staff.

Each topic in the online simulation will be sponsored by one United Nations entity, and participants will have the opportunity to interact with UN staff in online sessions.

Do not miss this opportunity to be part of an international network of people who support and work with the United Nations!
